St. Patrick Hospital and Medical College – Main Bldg. is a 5-Storey Bldg. built in 1971 and erected an Annex bldg. beside the Main bldg. of the hospital located at the hearth of Batangas City.
Due to its old age, SPHMC, decided to retrofit the whole Main Bldg. to improve its structural stability and gave assurance to their customer in terms of structural safety and stability. SPHMC decided to use modern technology on structural strengthening / retrofitting works due to its characteristics of lightweight and fast application on site, whereas downtime of affected areas are minimal.
Technocrete was contracted to undertake the critical repair works on column perimeter by laying of Carbon Fiber from top and bottom slab (negative and positive moment). Application of Carbon Fiber Wrap on affected Beams and also application of epoxy crack injection and crack repair were done to column to improve structural stability.
