The Magallanes Interchange in Makati is a four-level partial turbine interchange that serves as a critical junction between the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Osmeña Highway, and EDSA. It also functions as a key transfer point for two major train lines in Metro Manila: the MRT-3 and the PNR Metro Commuter. Having undergone previous repairs in the 1980s and in 2017, the interchange was identified as one of the priority structures in Metro Manila requiring retrofitting to ensure long-term safety and resilience.
Technocrete was contracted to carry out the major repair and structural strengthening of the Magallanes Flyover. The scope of works included epoxy injection of cracks on the deck slab followed by the application of carbon fiber to enhance structural integrity.
